The magnificent Rio de las Vueltas originates from Lago Del Desierto and cascades down to Lago Viedma , meandering through verdant lenga forests and rocky cliffs over a vast 70 km stretch. This offers exclusive views of the majestic Mount Fitz Roy and its stunning slopes.

Kayaking on this river is designed to accommodate both beginners and seasoned kayakers , with the option to select either a full day or half day expedition.

Descripción del Tour:

Our experienced guide will be ready for us at the designated meeting spot in the heart of El Chalten at 10:30 am. From this point, we will commence our journey to the Laguna Condor Refuge by car, situated 20 kilometers north of the town and nestled alongside the Río de las Vueltas.

Upon reaching the refuge, we will partake in an informative session about the forthcoming activity, followed by a trial run of the equipment and the fitting of essential safety gear, including suits, neoprene boots and gloves, life jackets, and helmets. Before we plunge into the river and navigate its twists and turns, we will go over some basic movements and safety techniques to ensure smooth sailing.

Once we've entered the river, we will initiate our unique and thrilling descent, meandering through various bends, all the while admiring the stunning Patagonian landscapes and the unparalleled vistas of Mount Fitz Roy.

After a 20 km journey and 3.5 hours of kayaking, we will arrive back at El Chaltén. We will head back to our meeting spot where we can change out of our wet clothes, bask in a well-earned rest, and wrap up this remarkable adventure at around 5:00 p.m.

** For those opting for the "Half Day" choice, the kayak navigation of the River of Turns will cover 10 km over a span of 1.5 hours, concluding at the Bonanza Camp. Here, you can change your attire and take a breather before hopping on the vehicle that will bring you back to El Chaltén, with drop-off anticipated around 3pm.
